Boulder County, Colo. - On Monday, May 11, 2026, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Boulder County Communications received a 911 call reporting a deceased person in a field approximately 300 yards east of the Medtronic building off Medtronic Drive in Lafayette. The scene is in unincorporated Boulder County near Rock Creek Trail.

Members of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau, Boulder County Coroner’s Office, Lafayette Police Department and Boulder County Parks and Open Space Rangers responded and remain on scene investigating.

There is no known threat to the public.

The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office. The Coroner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
