The death is being investigated as a homicide

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Communications Center received a call shortly before 10:00 a.m., yesterday, July 24, regarding a possible deceased person near the Realization Point trailhead, a Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks’ property. Upon arrival, first responders confirmed that there was a deceased female near the trailhead, just off the road.

After preliminary investigation, we suspect foul play and are investigating this death as a homicide. We believe the victim and suspect(s) were likely known to each other. We do not believe that there is an on-going threat to the community.

The cause and manner of death, and identification of decedent will be determined by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.
