Coalton Trailhead and trails reopen Friday, Feb. 18, 2022 after Marshall Mesa fire closure

Area to open to on-trail use only. Trails include the Meadowlark, Mayhoffer-Singletree, and Coalton trails.

Boulder County, Colo. - The Coalton Trailhead and the Meadowlark, Mayhoffer-Singletree, and Coalton trails will open on Friday, Feb. 18, after a weeks-long closure due to damage from the Marshall Fire.

The fire caused damage to signs, fencing, and gates, and high winds caused surface trail damage. Repairs have been made to signs and amenities; fence repair and replacement will be ongoing.

On-trail-use-only regulations will be strictly enforced due to remaining hazards in the area.

Additional parking is available at the Town of Superior Oerman-Roche Trailhead, 1.5 miles north of the Coalton Trailhead on McCaslin Blvd.

For information about air quality in the area, please visit the Boulder County Public Health Marshall Fire Air & Water Quality website.
