Boulder County Parks & Open Space hosts Walker Ranch Heritage Day featuring vintage baseball game

Sunday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space will host the Walker Ranch Heritage Day featuring a vintage baseball game on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Visitors can try their hand at everyday jobs of the late 1800s helping costumed volunteers with chores such as doing laundry with a washboard and wringer, churning butter, and shingle making. Attendees can also attend one-room school sessions, blacksmith demonstrations, visits to a general store, and children's games. Crowd participation is encouraged to cheer for the county’s own Walker Ranchers during the annual vintage baseball game at noon. Tours of the homestead take place throughout the day.

No food will be available at the event; pets and bikes are prohibited.

  • Where: Walker Ranch Homestead, 7701 Flagstaff Mountain Road, approximately 7 miles west of Boulder.
