Boulder County Elections seeks input on Vote Center locations for next year’s 2022 General Election

Boulder County, Colo. – The Boulder County Elections Division is conducting outreach to ask residents where they believe Vote Centers (Voter Service and Polling Centers) should be located for next year's 2022 General Election. We are also seeking feedback on 24-Hour Mail Ballot Drop Box locations.

To capture public input and comment, the Elections Division has designed an online survey. The statutory deadline to submit official comments to Boulder County Elections regarding these locations is May 2, 2022. However, the Elections Division would appreciate your input sooner – ideally by Dec 1 – to potentially act on any recommendations.

What: Vote Center & Drop Box Public Input Survey for 2022 General Election

When: Ideally by Dec 1, 2021

Who: Boulder County residents

Where: www.BoCo.org/2022ElectionSurvey

While the November 2022 General Election is more than a year away, the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s office is preparing now for a successful election.

Under Colorado law, a mail ballot will be automatically sent to all active Colorado voters. Boulder County must also open Vote Centers to provide in-person services for voters. Vote Centers are places residents can drop off a mail ballot, cast a ballot in person, request a replacement ballot, register to vote or update registration information, or vote using equipment for persons with disabilities. Boulder County will have at least 20 Vote Centers open throughout the county on Election Day with some of those locations opening as early as two weeks before Election Day.

Boulder County Elections is working now to identify new Vote Centers for 2022 and are reviewing our most recently used facilities. The Division also seeks input on our 24-Hour Mail Ballot Drop Box locations.
