• In partnership with the Center for People With Disabilities (CPWD), Boulder County Elections will hold an Early Voting Event for the General Election on Wednesday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the CPWD office – 1675 Range Street.
• During the event, voters may access all voting services. Language assistance will be available. There will be an ASL interpreter on site.
• The event is open to the public and specifically for Boulder County eligible voters to access voting services. The purpose of the event is to provide a familiar space to allow people with disabilities to participate comfortably in the voting process.

Boulder County –In partnership with the Center for People With Disabilities (CPWD), Boulder County Elections will hold an Early Voting Event for the General Election on Wednesday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at their Boulder location – 1675 Range Street. The Center for People With Disabilities’ mission is to provide resources, information, and advocacy to assist people with disabilities in overcoming barriers to independent living. This voting event aligns with their organization’s mission as well as the Clerk’s office goal in helping everyone exercise their right to vote. The voting event will be staffed by trained, bipartisan election judges and elections staff. During the event, voters may access all voting services. Language assistance will be available.

While this CPWD Voting Event is open to the public, its purpose is to provide a familiar space to allow people with disabilities to participate comfortably in the voting process.

• Vote in person using accessible voting equipment or vote on a paper ballot
• Vote a Spanish language ballot
• Request a replacement mail ballot
• Drop off a mail ballot
• Register to vote or update voter registration information (and vote on the same day)
• Fix a signature discrepancy or missing signature issue with a mail ballot
• Language assistance available in multiple languages via a phone hotline during event
• ASL Interpreter on site

“During the June Primary, Boulder County Elections offered a first-ever voting experience at CPWD in Boulder for their clients and the community,” said Molly Fitzpatrick, Boulder County Clerk & Recorder. “We understand the voting process can be intimidating, especially for those from historically excluded communities or those that feel they face barriers to vote. We wanted to partner once again with CPWD to make sure anyone with a disability feels supported in exercising their civic duty.”

“We are thankful for Boulder County Elections partnership on this event,” stated Craig Towler, CPWD’s Community Organizer. “While Colorado has broken down many barriers making voting easier, there are still some individuals with disabilities who feel left out of the process or don’t know where to start with registering or voting. Partnership events like this help breakdown that final barrier and let those in the disability community know we want them to vote and that they don’t need to feel like they are being left out of the process.”

Voters may check their registration in advance at GoVoteColorado.gov or simply show up with an ID. Colorado does not have a registration deadline. New voters can register up to and including Election Day. To access in person voting services, residents must bring an ID. A list of ID options is available at BoCo.org/VotingID.

The accessible voting equipment used during this voting event, and at all vote centers, allows community members with low vision, blindness, and other physical disabilities to cast their ballot more easily. To help explain the voting process to people who are hard of hearing or deaf, we will also have an ASL interpreter on site for this October 23 event.

In addition to its Boulder office, CPWD also has a Longmont location in Boulder County. If you are a community member who frequents the Longmont facility and/or identifies with having a disability and need assistance with getting to the Boulder location to vote, CPWD is offering transportation on the day of the event. Boulder County wants to ensure that everyone has equal access to our programs, activities, and services. Submit your request as early as possible, and no later than two business days before the event. Access to assistance in other languages will be available via a phone hotline at the event.
