Boulder County Elections Ballot Processing Tours

In person ballot processing tours begin Wednesday and online webinar scheduled for Thursday


Boulder County – Boulder County Clerk and Recorder Molly Fitzpatrick will host several ballot processing tours at the Elections Division Ballot Processing Center. Additionally, the Elections Division is hosting an online elections information presentation. The webinar will include information about the upcoming elections (March, June, and November), ballot processing basics, voter statistics, election security, and more. Then, the tours are in person opportunities to dive deeper into ballot processing procedures and safeguards and to see firsthand how the process happens.

Online Elections Presentation

What: Presentation and Q&A expected to last about 30-40 minutes

When: Thursday, February 29 at noon.

Election Tours

What: Elections Division Ballot Processing Center Tours

When: Tours will run approximately 30-40 minutes

12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28

10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2

1 p.m. on Monday, March 4

The online webinar will give a high-level overview of how your local elections offices ensures an efficient, accurate, and secure election. We’ll also cover frequently asked election questions, voter statistics, election security, ballot processing steps, and more.

The tours offer people interested in local elections the opportunity to see firsthand how ballots are processed, understand how signatures are verified on mail ballots, and learn about how ballot resolution works, among other ballot processing procedures and safeguards. Tours take about 30 minutes with questions. Open to all.

Please note that for the security of our staff and election judges, we will ask all tour attendees to leave personal belongings at home, will require attendees to sign in, and will have security present.
