A deceased male was located in the area of the 3rd Flatiron

Boulder County, Colo. - On Wednesday December 18, 2024, at approximately 12:10 pm a deceased male was located via drone that was operated by Boulder Emergency Squad. The individual was later recovered from the area of the 3^rd Flatiron in Boulder County Colorado.

Rocky Mountain Rescue Group (RMRG) completed a technical climb up to the location and performed a recovery operation to bring the party out to the waiting Boulder County Coroner Investigator.

Boulder County Coroner’s Office will make next of kin notifications.

The evacuation took 8.5 hours.
