8th Annual Age Well Conference Scheduled for Nov. 7

National Leader on Aging to Keynote Age Well Conference in Boulder - Registration is Required

Boulder County, Colo. - By now it should be no surprise that a growing share of Colorado’s population is in the “older adult” category. What federal and state policies, as well as free market trends, cultural norms, and behaviors are influencing the experiences and quality of life of older adults? The 8th Annual Age Well Conference in Boulder, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7, will welcome several hundred guests to explore these themes.

The keynote speaker for the 2019 Age Well Conference will be Kathy Greenlee, appointed by President Obama in 2009 as the Assistant Secretary for Aging at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Administrator of the Administration for Community Living. Ms. Greenlee oversaw annual budgets totaling nearly $2 billion and developed innovative programs and initiatives to address elder rights, advocate for LGBT older adults, and encourage cross-sector partnerships between healthcare entities and community-based organizations before leaving her federal position in 2016.

The annual event draws attendees from many industries, including real estate, retail, financial services, personal care, long-term care, and healthcare. Other speakers during the day will include Claire Boozer Cruse, Manager for Deloitte Center for Health Solutions; Stephanie Denning, Principal for Health Management Associates; and Chrissy Esposito, Policy Analyst for Colorado Health Institute.
