43-year-old male arrested on Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree

Boulder County, Colo. - On Sunday, April 16, 2023, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office was informed of a stabbing and assault that took place in the 7400 block of Spyglass Court, in unincorporated Boulder County.

The victim of the stabbing had been in an argument with his roommate, Christopher Sherrill, D.O.B. 02/21/80, at their residence when Sherril allegedly attacked him with a knife, stabbing him multiple times. The victim went to a local hospital for medical care, where law enforcement was notified by the hospital of the stabbing.

Sherril fled the scene before deputies could contact him. He later returned to the Spyglass Court location in the early morning hours of April 17, where Boulder County Sheriff’s Office deputies made entry into the residence and were able to place him into custody without incident.

Sherrill was arrested on the following charges:

  • 1st Degree Assault - Weapon - (F3)
  • Attempted Murder In The 2nd Degree - (F3)
  • Criminal Attempt To Commit Class Three Felony - (F4)

The following agencies assisted with this incident: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder Police Department, and the Weld County Sheriff’s Office.

The associated Boulder County Sheriff’s Office case number is: 23-01981.

As in every criminal case, these charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.
