20-year-old male arrested after assault in the Town of Nederland

Suspect charged with Second Degree Assault, Felony Menacing, Violation of a Protection Order, and Obstruction of a Peace Officer

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation after a 47-year-old male victim reported that a male had physically attacked him in the parking lot of the Nederland Visitor’s Center, 45 W 1st St., Nederland, in the early morning hours of February 1, 2024. The victim stated during the attack, the male used an edged weapon to injure him, and the suspect also bit him. The victim received bodily injury from the assault.

Boulder County Sheriff’s Office detectives were able to identify the suspect as 20-year-old Elijah Krajicek. An arrest warrant and search warrant were obtained for Krajicek’s last known address. Sheriff’s Office detectives and several members of the Boulder County Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team executed the warrants on February 6, at an address in the 100 block of W. Boulder St. in the Town of Nederland.

Krajicek, who is restrained from the house by a court order, was hiding inside the residence and would not comply to lawful orders to come out. After a short time, Krajicek was arrested without further incident.

Krajicek was charged with Second Degree Assault, Felony Menacing, Violation of a Protection Order, and Obstruction of a Peace Officer.

The associated Boulder County Sheriff’s Office case number is 24-00613.

Agencies who assisted with this investigation included the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Nederland Fire Department.

As in every criminal case, these charges are merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.
