Weed and Wildfire Mitigation Goat Browsing Pilot 2026

Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting (In-Person) & Site Visit is scheduled, starting promptly at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026. Interested Parties are asked to meet at Boulder County Parks and Open Space Building (BCPOS) 5201 St Vrain Road, Building 1, Longmont, CO 80503. We will leave BCPOS at 9:00 a.m. to tour browsing sites. Please plan for three (3) hours for tour of browsing sites. Participants will want to dress for being outdoors, boots, jackets, etc. Boulder County will provide transportation to and from the sites. Please review all RFP documents prior to the meeting.

Boulder County Parks and Open Space (BCPOS) Noxious Weed Department is seeking a vendor who can provide goat browsing for a trial pilot program. This trial is looking at goat browsing effectiveness for general weed control, fire mitigation, and to control weeds in revegetation/restoration areas. Some of the wildfire mitigation browsing will occur within irrigation ditch corridors. This process will require some areas to be browsed 2 time during the growing season. All browsing will occur within BCPOS owned properties. This contract help fulfills some requirements of the Integrated Weed Management Plan. There will be a 100 day limit for this browsing program.
