Foster Parent Core Training

Foster Parent core training is a required step in the process to become a certified foster parent. The curriculum covers positive parenting, rules and regulations, the effects of trauma on development, and many other topics.

Core training occurs over 8 weeks, with virtual class on Wednesday evenings from 5-8 PM. Contact Wendy Clark at wclark@bouldercounty.gov for questions or help with training registration.

Prospective Foster Parents

Prospective foster parents should register for core training using the form below after all adults pursuing certification have attended orientation.  Contact us by email with any questions at fostercare@bouldercounty.gov.
