Travel Clinics
Boulder County Public Health does not offer travel immunizations. Please see our list of local providers who offer travel vaccines.
The Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program allows us to provide all routinely recommended vaccines to children whose families have financial limitations.
Eligibility
Children are eligible if they are younger than 19 years of age AND one of the following applies:
- Eligible for Medicaid
- Do not have private insurance, including CHP+
- Have insurance that does not cover any vaccines or only covers some vaccines
- American Indian or Alaska Native
Cost
There is no cost for the vaccines themselves, but a $21.51 administration fee is charged for each vaccine given. No child will be denied vaccines if their family is unable to pay this fee.
For credit card payments, there is a processing fee of $0.75 plus 2.25% of the total cost. Payments can also be made with cash or checks.
Other Resources
- Find free vaccine providers
- Read about vaccines required by Colorado law for daycare, preschool, grades K-12 and college/university students
Eligibility
A limited inventory of vaccines is available for eligible adults 19 years of age and older who:
- Have no insurance
- Have insurance that does not cover any vaccines or only covers some vaccines
- Have Medicare Part B—these adults can receive Tdap and shingles vaccines only (cannot receive influenza, COVID-19, Hepatitis B, or pneumococcal vaccines)
Cost
There is no cost for the vaccines themselves, but a $21.51 administration fee is charged for each vaccine given. No child will be denied vaccines if their family is unable to pay this fee.

People with private medical insurance can get most vaccines through their healthcare provider or a local pharmacy, but BCPH does have a limited selection of vaccines available for anyone who might want to purchase them at full cost. BCPH cannot bill private insurance and must collect the full amount at the time of service.
Fees can be paid by cash, check, or credit card. For credit card payments, there is a processing fee of $0.75 plus 2.25% of the total cost. Payments can also be made with cash or checks.
