Report Cases and Outbreaks to Boulder County Public Health

There are several ways to report a case of disease to Boulder County Public Health. Most reports occur directly using electronic laboratory reporting. Some diseases and conditions must be reported immediately by phone, even while awaiting laboratory results. Rapid reporting supports more timely responses to contain the spread of disease. The following should be immediately reported by phone: C.auris, meningococcal disease, measles, botulism, plague, diphtheria, anthrax, poliomyelitis, cholera, severe or novel coronavirus (other than SARS CoV-2/COVID-19), smallpox, human rabies, viral hemorrhagic fever, outbreaks, and bioterrorism-related illnesses.
