They also provide habitats for endangered animals. These animals include black-footed ferrets, burrowing owls, and ferruginous hawks. Bison, elk, deer, pronghorn, prairie dogs, box turtles, and rattlesnakes are also found there.

Registration for most programs begins on the 20th of the month before the event.
