Take a walk with a Boulder County Commissioner: Ashley Stolzmann

The Boulder County Commissioners invite residents to take a walk with them at the county’s beautiful Parks & Open Space properties this June.Register to walk with Commissioner Ashley Stolzmann Friday, June 28, 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Stearns Lake (Parqueadero, 2190 S 104th St, Broomfield) Before you visit county open space, please review the POS guidelines on recreating responsibly: • “Know before you go." Remember to plan ahead, know your limits, and do not take unnecessary risks. • Enjoy and protect shared public lands. Remember to “Leave No Trace” and pack out all trash and dog waste. • Be courteous and inclusive. People have different reasons for visiting shared public lands and everyone deserves respect and courtesy while recreating outdoors. • Do not park illegally at trailheads. Fun on the Farm: Horsing Around

Agricultural Heritage Center 8348 Ute Hwy, Longmont

Children ages 3-6 will love to visit the farm to learn about animals, plants, and agricultural life. At Horsing Around kids will learn all about horses and then get to meet our horses in person! All programs include a short story time, hands-on activities, and a take-home craft. Afterwards, explore the farm. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Fun on the Farm is the 2nd and 4th Fridays through September. Registration for most programs begins on the 20th of the month before the event. Registration is not required for this activity, but you can still sign up to be notified in case the event is unexpectedly canceled. Register Registration is required through Discover Boulder County, Parks & Open Space’s volunteer and event registration system. If you’re new to the system, you'll need to create an account. But it’s easy and we only use your contact information to communicate about events you register for. We will never sell or give your information to a third party.
