The Westernaires will bring its full performance division to the Boulder County Fairgrounds on Sunday, August 16, for a large-scale equestrian production unlike a traditional rodeo or horse show. This two-hour production will feature precision riding at speed, trick riding, Roman riding, horse acrobatics, roping, and other family entertainment. The event was originally scheduled to take place in Evergreen but was relocated after storm damage made the original arena unavailable. Rather than cancel the performance, Westernaires moved the entire production to the Boulder County Fairgrounds, where covered grandstands will provide spectators with shade and protection from elements while preserving the excitement of an outdoor arena show. The Westernaires Full Arena Extravaganza begins at 2:00 p.m. and will feature two hours of precision mounted drill riding at speed, world-class trick riding, Roman riding, horse acrobatics, trick and fancy roping, liberty riding, colorful costumes, flags, music, and other specialty performances.
