Description
Join volunteer naturalists and astronomers from the Longmont Astronomical Society for a summer night astronomy program. Together, we'll learn about the night skies and view the celestial bodies residing in our galaxy and beyond.
Mercury, the smallest planet in our solar system, may be small, but it has some big secrets. Join us to learn more about this mighty planet that closely orbits the sun and all of its surprising qualities.
Bring a chair or blanket, a light jacket, and a red flashlight, and get ready to enjoy a night out with the family. The presentation is at the picnic shelter. It is followed by stargazing in the parking area. Telescopes are provided by the Longmont Astronomical Society.
Registration for most programs begins on the 20th of the month before the event.
