AAA Caregiver Initiative

Are you caring for an older adult? We’re here to help.

We know caring for someone else can be both hard and rewarding. That’s why we’re here to support caregivers of older adults and people living with dementia every step of the way. We can support you with helpful resources, information, and services in Boulder County to make things easier.

Am I a caregiver?

A caregiver is someone who helps a family member, friend, or neighbor with daily tasks or health needs. The help a caregiver provides might be short-term or last for many years. Caregivers might also support someone even if they don’t live in the same location.

You may be a caregiver if…

  • You buy groceries or run errands for someone who can’t do it on their own.
  • You pay bills or help manage money for someone.
  • You help someone get dressed, cook meals, bathe, or use the toilet.
  • You remind someone to take their medicine or drive them to the doctor.
  • Someone you care about can’t live safely at home without your help.
