The Boulder County Community Services Department provides services in partnership with the community that enhance quality of life, support and protect Boulder County’s diverse community of adults, children, families, and elders, and promotes economic independence and self-sufficiency.

Boulder County Area Agency on Aging

Boulder County Area Agency on Aging (BCAAA) plans, develops, coordinates, funds, advocates for, and evaluates a wide range of services for older adults and their families/caregivers.

Boulder County Head Start

Boulder County Head Start is a comprehensive child development program for low-income families and children with disabilities designed to meet the individual needs of children through a partnership between teachers and parents for children 3-5 years old.

Community Action Programs

Community Action Programs (CAP) advocates for and organizes programs that foster self-sufficiency for individuals, families, and people of color with low-income.

Community Justice Services

Community Justice Services (CJS) provides bond assessments, pretrial supervision and preventative programs to youths and adults who are involved with the courts, and provides specialized services to incarcerated individuals while monitoring vendors who provide services.
