Program Summary: | Ever heard of a ‘native seed collection’? If not, you’re in for a treat! Using native, locally adapted plant material in ecological restoration brings floristic diverstiy, wildlife diversity, and resiliency to the Boulder County landscape that we know and love. Our native plants are adapted to Boulder County’s unique soils, precipitation patterns and extreme elevation gradient, so these plants are hardy! In order to use our local, ecotypic plants in restoration, often we need to collect their seeds from our local wildlands. Boulder County is taking the spread of COVID-19 very seriously. To ensure the safest possible experience for all, we will be requiring the following protocols:
