Boulder County is now offering FREE bicycle racks to Longmont businesses

Boulder County, Colo. - Interested Longmont businesses, multi-family housing units, and nonprofit organizations can receive free bicycle racks from Boulder County’s Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE) program in order to provide a safe and convenient place for employee and customer bicycle parking. The number of available racks is limited, so businesses should promptly submit a request.

PACE advisors will help find a good spot for the racks and have a design layout approved by their local government permitting office. Locations receiving the racks will be responsible for the cost of installation, but the county will provide a list of pre-qualified installers. All eligible locations can receive up to four bike racks.

Boulder County’s PACE program distributes free bike racks throughout the entire county, but, in recent years, requests from Longmont have declined.

  • Eligible organizations located along Main Street outside of the Longmont Downtown Development Authority area can work directly with the City of Longmont by contacting Ben Ortiz at ben.ortiz@longmontcolorado.gov or 303-774-4725.
  • All other businesses in the City of Longmont can contact PACE at 303-786-7223 or at info@pacepartners.com.
  • Longmont area residents can also suggest a location by sending an email to info@pacepartners.com.
