Third Annual Trunk or Treat Event Taking Place on Oct. 20

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder County Coroner’s Office, and Boulder County Public Health invite the community to the third annual Trunk or Treat event, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. Registration is free, but tickets are expected to sell out.

Families are encouraged to visit the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office headquarters at 5600 Flatiron Parkway for an evening of candy, costumes, and community. Children 12 and under can walk through the Sheriff’s Office haunted hallway, collect treats from costumed staff and explore emergency vehicles from multiple first responder agencies during the Trunk or Treat in the parking lot. The fun continues in the Coroner’s Office haunted hallway and at Engine Alley, where additional treats and surprises will be available. Be sure to stop by the inflatable obstacle course courtesy of the Colorado National Guard.

The event offers families a chance to celebrate Halloween while meeting first responders, public safety staff, and community partners from across Boulder County.

Costumes are encouraged, and strollers and wagons are welcome. Sensory bags will be provided courtesy of the Autism Society of Boulder County to support an enjoyable experience for attendees with sensory needs.
