As fully stated in Boulder County Policy 1.06, racial equity is one of the county’s strategic priorities and the county has a moral responsibility to interrupt institutional racism that manifests through racist laws, policies, practices and behaviors. Offices and Departments awarding grants should fully implement Policy 1.06 in awarding grant funds. We center race in this work because it has historically—and continues to be—the strongest predictor of disparities in the United States.
We invite all current and future (potential) grant applicants to attend and take part in this important conversation.
