Boulder County, Colo - Boulder County Parks & Open Space is hiring an Agricultural Resources Division Manager and asking for public input on priorities for this role and the Agricultural Resources Division of the department.
This position provides leadership to a highly qualified team of agricultural land and water resources specialists who perform a multitude of duties to support agricultural activities on the 26,000 irrigated, dryland, and rangeland acres held by the county open space program.
More than 70 people applied and have been screened against initial qualification requirements by Human Resources. Over 50 candidates have advanced to the next phase.
Additional blind screening will be done to prioritize related ag experience, supervision and management, public and stakeholder collaboration, budget, strategic planning, and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Our cross-discipline team will select around 10 candidates for phone interviews, and we hope to narrow this pool to around six for in-person interviews.
The results of this survey will inform the interview questions and final rating of the candidates.
