Boulder County, Colo. -

On October 12, 2025 shortly after 11 p.m., a 23-year-old man called 911 and reported to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office Communications Center that he had fallen a significant distance and was injured inside of the Sugarmill property located in the 11,900 blk of Sugarmill Road in Boulder County.

Multiple personnel from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Longmont Police Department, Mountain View Fire Rescue, and Boulder Rural Fire Rescue responded and utilized a drone to help locate the man. It was discovered that he had likely fallen approximately 2 stories. Fire personnel were able to gain access to him after utilizing a saw to cut through an exterior wall to gain the most direct and safe access to him.

The man was extricated and transported to a local hospital for treatment. He had sustained severe injuries to his face and limbs.

Several other people were also contacted at the property and all were issued citations for trespassing. This is a stark reminder that it is illegal and dangerous to trespass on the Sugarmill property and violators will be held accountable.
