Residential Structure Fire in Coal Creek Canyon

Boulder County, Colo. - On May 12, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., first responders from multiple agencies responded to the 500 block of Crescent Lake Rd. in unincorporated Boulder County on the report of a structure fire.

The homeowners were away at the time the fire started but discovered the fire after returning home. The main part of the house was a total loss, with only the garage remaining unburned. The homeowners unfortunately also lost two family pets, 1 dog and 1 cat.

Boulder County victim advocates along with the American Red Cross responded to provide services and resources to the family.

Fire personnel from the Coal Creek Canyon Fire Rescue remained on-scene throughout the night to monitor the structure.

The Multi-Agency Fire Investigation Team (MAFIT) is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.

The following agencies responded to the fire: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Coal Creek Canyon Fire Rescue, Timberline Fire Protection District, Nederland Fire Protection District, Boulder Emergency Squad, and the American Red Cross.
