Description
Boulder County’s Wildfire Partners announces a significant expansion of its mission with wildfire mitigation support now available to east Boulder County residents. The wildfire mitigation program is now resourced to engage communities county-wide in collaboration with community members, fire departments, and municipal agencies. Previously Wildfire Partners’ mitigation program and services were available only to foothills and mountains residents.
Wildfire Partners will be conducting an information session for the public on Community Mitigation Planning including a short presentation and opportunity for questions. This session is aimed at anyone interested in organizing or leading their community in Community Mitigation Planning efforts. Topics will include:
- What are the goals and benefits to your community of Community Mitigation Planning?
- How do you determine which homes should be included in your Community?
- What is the role of the Community Liaison?
- How will Wildfire Partners support these efforts?
- When is the right time to apply?
