Boulder County Elections is partnering with three great Boulder County organizations/businesses: Intercambio, Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA), and Avery Brewing to host three Vote Early Day events on Thursday, October 26. Vote Early Day is a nationwide movement of over 2,700 election administrators, nonprofits, and businesses that aims to ensure that Americans know their options for voting early so that last-minute problems do not stop them from casting their ballot. The day was first celebrated in 2020 and the new civic holiday continues this year on Thursday, October 26.

At these events, voters can drop off their mail ballots, pick up an “I Voted” sticker, register to vote / update their registration*, ask election-related questions of staff, and get election memorabilia (while supplies last). Additionally, now through Election Day (and at these three events Thursday), Boulder County Elections is hosting a food drive to support EFAA if community members are interested in dropping off donations (see accepted donations list).

“Boulder County Elections enjoys providing these opportunities for our community members to engage with elections staff as well as encourage residents to vote early,” stated Molly Fitzpatrick, Boulder County Clerk & Recorder. “However, we could not do these events if it were not for the partnerships we’ve built with these great organizations and businesses that are willing to help us. So, to Intercambio, EFAA, and Avery – thank you! Your contribution to promoting the importance of voting by hosting these events is so important and valued.”

"We are excited to welcome Boulder County Elections to Intercambio to host our first-ever Vote Early Day event,” said John Lopez, Intercambio's Chief Executive Officer. “Our organization’s mission is to bring English learners and community volunteers together in language classes to build skills, confidence, and life-changing connections. We understand how much local, state, and national policy impacts our community and our work. Thus, the power of one’s vote in every election cannot be understated. Encouraging and empowering our clients, volunteers, and community to vote—and vote early—is a natural fit with our mission.”

“As Boulder's community safety net, EFAA provides food, housing, and financial assistance, to families and individuals experiencing economic hardship,” remarked Julie Van Domelen, EFAA’s Executive Director. “Voting is a critical way for our participants to elevate their voices and influence public policies. EFAA is happy to partner with Boulder County Elections again this year to host this Vote Early Day event and we are grateful for them hosting a food and personal care drive at their office locations during this voting period."

“As a business that thrives off of having a positive and engaging relationship with our local community, we are happy to support an initiative that promotes such an important civic duty,” said Adam Avery, founder of Avery Brewing Company. “That is why we continue to partner with Boulder County Elections to provide space for them to meet voters and to host their 24-hour ballot box at our location.”
