Boulder, Colo. - Boulder County Veteran Services Officers and partners from across Boulder County and the Department of Veterans Affairs invite residents to an information session around the recently passed PACT Act* on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post 32, 315 S. Bowen Street in Longmont. Boulder County Veteran Services Office is part of the Boulder County Area Agency on Aging division that provides U.S. military Veterans and their dependents with access to benefits through local, state, federal, and nonprofit programs. The Office is accredited through the Colorado Department of Veteran Affairs, allowing staff to provide a wide variety of benefits, assistance with determining program qualifications, and application processes.

The upcoming event will assist Veterans and their dependents with questions about eligibility and benefits, including disability claims, burial, and more. The event will include food, music, family activities, and offer a variety of information on resources available to Veterans and their family members.

*The Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT Act of 2022) is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other environmental toxins from World War II through the present time of military service. This law helps provide generations of Veterans, and their survivors, with expanded care and benefits they have earned and deserve.
