Last week, Community Foundation Boulder County CEO Tatiana Hernandez held a town hall to provide an update to Marshall Fire survivors on the Boulder County Wildfire Fund. Hernandez was joined by Megan Ferguson of the Impact Development Fund. The town hall was followed by Q&A. If you were unable to attend a recording of the meeting is now available. Small Business Grant webinar recording now available; apply by April 28
The Boulder Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Boulder County held a webinar earlier this week for small businesses that were impacted by the Marshall Fire to learn more about the small business grant and to find out if they quality. Boulder County Assistant County Administrator, Yvette Bowden, and Colorado Enterprise Fund Business Navigator, Lorri Flint, guided attendees through the application process, and provided tips and strategies to submit a successful application. Dan King from Boulder SBDC moderated the conversation, which was followed by questions from those attending. Please view a recording of the webinar.

March recovery navigation services report posted
Recovery Navigators began helping property owners on July 25, 2022 who were impacted by the Marshall Fire and Straight-Line Wind Event. To keep the community in the loop about the progress of the program, monthly reports are posted on the Navigating Disaster website. The January report is currently posted. The monthly reports share information including service stats, major activities/accomplishments, barriers/challenges, lessons learned and future activities. View the March report.

Resilient Families Academy starts April 25
Join Jewish Family Services (JFS) and Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience for a virtual seven-week group for both parents/caregivers and their children who want to learn more about ways to build family resilience after experiencing trauma.
Topics include:
Resiliency and characteristics of resilient families
Trauma and its impact on families, parenting, and child development
Emotions and how to manage them
Parenting skills
Boundaries and privacy in families
Characteristics of healthy families
Communication skills
Meet for two hours on Tuesdays from 5-7 p.m. for seven weeks, April 25 to June 6.Register now
Processing groups help individuals express their emotions from difficult experiences
Virtual process groups are taking place on Mondays, from 6-7 p.m. to allow individuals to share their experiences and express emotions with others and a trained therapist. They provide a unique space to deepen perspectives, receive support, and gain feedback from peers. Process groups offer group members a chance to connect with their peers to process, cope, and grow from difficult experiences. Groups are for those impacted by the Marshall Fire. Groups will be capped at 10 attendees per group.
