Female falls several feet on Flagstaff Mountain

Boulder County, Colo. -

On Saturday, April 1, 2023, at approximately 3:56 p.m. the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received a call reference a female who had fallen approximately 25 feet from the top of the rock outcropping outside the Lost Gulch Trailhead.

Rescuers from Mountain View Fire Protection District and American Medical Response arrived on scene and provided medical treatment for the 20-year-old University of Colorado student. Members of the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group then moved the woman from the ledge system to the ambulance where she was transported to a Boulder area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The rescue took approximately two hours.

Agencies involved in the rescue included: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, American Medical Response, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, Mountain View Fire Protection District and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group.
