A healthy landscape is a dynamic one. A dynamic landscape is not without disturbances. Whether it be a wildfire, a new trail, or forest health operations, Boulder County Parks & Open Space uses locally collected native plant material to help the lands we love recover from disturbances large and small.
Enter: Native Seed! Using local, native plant material increases the chances for successful long term restoration of a disturbed area. Boulder County collects a lot of native seed to use in restoration and after a collection is made, this seed often needs to be separated out its pods or off its stalks to be efficiently used on the landscape. Enter: YOU! Join Boulder County Plant Ecologist, Carrie Cimo, to process native seed! You’ll learn more about restoration and meet some wonderful folks who share a passion for the outdoors! Sign up today! Native Seed is what we need |
