Boulder County, Colo. - Two cycling events will be taking place in Boulder County the weekend of Sept. 10–11, 2022, the Harvest Moon Triathlon on Saturday, Sept. 10, and the Buffalo Bicycle Classic on Sunday, Sept. 11. All other roads on the bike course – including eastbound Jay Rd. from 51st St. to CO 119/Diagonal Hwy. – will remain open throughout the race. Safety For Road Users
If you are traveling through the area during either event, please pay close attention to the Boulder County Sheriffs, Colorado State Patrol, and the volunteer traffic marshals who will be helping to ensure safety for riders and travelers alike. When passing a bicyclist, motorists must allow at least three feet of space between their vehicle and a bicyclist. To pass a bicyclist safely, drivers may cross a double yellow center line when oncoming traffic is clear.
