Wildland fire on Porter Ranch Road

Crews extinguish small blaze

Boulder County, Colo. - At approximately 08:24pm on April 22nd, 2022, the Boulder County Communications Center received a report of a fire near the intersection of Porter Ranch Road and Magnolia Road in unincorporated Boulder County. Numerous emergency personnel arrived on scene to a small wildland fire, estimated at approximately 1/10 of an acre in size, and quickly extinguished it.

No evacuations were performed, no structures were lost, and no injuries were reported.

The cause and origin of the Porter Ranch Fire is under investigation by the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

Boulder County remains at a Stage 1 Fire Restriction for all areas of unincorporated Boulder County to include the plains and mountains. More information about current fire regulations and conditions can be found here:

Agencies that responded to the fire included: Timberline Fire Department, Nederland Fire Department, Coal Creek Fire Department, Boulder Emergency Squad, Nederland Police Department, U.S. Forest Service, and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
