Scrambler rescued after fall near Royal Arch Trail
Boulder County, Colo. - On Tuesday April 5, 2022 at approximately 11:20 a.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a person who had fallen. The caller had been nearby when she heard the person fall but did not see them fall or from what height.
She and other citizens provided care until rangers from the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks and members of Rocky Mountain Rescue Group could respond.
Rescuers found and stabilized the injured scrambler and then carried him down in a stretcher. The 34-year-old male from Westminster was then transferred to an ambulance which was stationed near the Bluebell Shelter. American Medical Response (AMR) transported him to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The rescue took approximately three hours.
Agencies assisting with this rescue included: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, American Medical Response, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group.
