Heil Valley Ranch

Program Summary:

In October 2020, the Cal-Wood Fire burned over 4,000 acres at Heil Valley Ranch. A good portion of the property is still closed to the public due to damaged infrastructure and safety concerns. To help speed up the re-opening of the park, multiple recovery efforts are underway including the removal of barbed wire fences and the replacement of several wooden fences that were consumed during the fire. We will use hand tools to remove barbed wire fencing and pre-cut logs to rebuild wooden fences. This is a great opportunity to get into the fire area and see some of the impacts.
