Suspect arrested for Attempted First Degree Homicide and related charges
Boulder County, Colo. -On August 30, 2021, at approximately 9:46 am, the Boulder County Regional Communication Center received a phone call reporting there was a party who was outside and possibly shooting a gun into the air near some construction workers around the 2200 block of Buttercup Lane in the Town of Superior, Boulder County, Colorado. The reporting party further stated they did not believe anyone had been shot and the person had gone back inside their residence.
On-scene interviews revealed the suspect might have been upset with on-going construction in the area and possibly pointed a rifle in the direction of construction workers. After several hours, at approximately 1:30 pm Deputies were able to contact the suspect and take him into custody without incident. Neither deputies nor the suspect received any injuries.
The investigation into the incident is still on-going and Detectives with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for the residence. Since the investigation on-going a booking photograph of the suspect will not be released at this time.
