Two Auto Theft Suspects Arrest in Gunbarrel Neighborhood

Boulder County, Colo. - On May 15, 2021 at 11:18 a.m., the Boulder County Communications Center received a report of two vehicles with the occupants throwing trash out, in the area of Driftwood Pl. and Kalua Rd. in unincorporated Boulder County. The vehicles were identified as an older white Jeep and a silver Audi. The Jeep and Audi had been report stolen by the Longmont Police Department.

Deputies responded to the area and located the stolen Jeep, which was unoccupied. The silver Audi was not in the immediate area. The Jeep was turned over to Longmont Police Officers for processing. As deputies were leaving the area, the stolen silver Audi was located and deputies were able to get the Audi stopped in the area of Twin Lakes Rd. and Brandon Creek Dr.

The driver of the Audi was taken into custody immediately. The passenger fled the scene, but was later taken into custody by Boulder Police Officers who were assisting with a perimeter in the area of Williams Fork Trail and Spine Rd. A third stolen vehicle was located in the immediate area where the passenger was taken into custody.

The driver of the stolen Audi was 25 year old Logan Dodge. Dodge was charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, Vehicular Eluding, Criminal Possession of a Financial Transaction Device, Criminal Possession of Identifying Documents, Reckless Driving, and Driving Under Restraint.

The passenger was identified as 32 year old Jesse Teneyck. Teneyck was charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, Criminal Possession of a Financial Transaction Device, Criminal Possession of Identifying Documents, Violation of a Protection Order, Violation of Bond Conditions, and Warrant for Failure to Comply.

Colorado State Patrol, Boulder Police Department, Longmont Police Department, and Boulder County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.

The investigation is documented under Boulder County Sheriff's Office case number 21-2298.
