Share Feedback on Boulder County’s Local Minimum Wage

On the afternoon of Oct. 14, the commissioners will consider the future of Boulder County’s minimum wage, including, but not limited to, keeping the current wage schedule, temporarily pausing the scheduled wage increase, and exploring a lower wage schedule to align with the City of Boulder’s minimum wage schedule.

WIC, SNAP, TANF, and Housing First Vouchers continue through October. Social Security, Medicare, Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid), and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) are not currently affected by this shutdown.

Boulder County Works to Address Budget Shortfall

Current projections are that county spending will soon outpace county revenue. To address this structural deficit in the county’s General Fund, the county will need to find a total of $30 million - $40 million in savings over the next three years: 2026, 2027, and 2028.
