Program Summary:
Small Acreage Management volunteers answer small acreage property owner’s questions on issues such as grazing management, weed identification and management, pasture renovation and limited livestock issues.
Dates and requirements are still TBD for 2024.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Volunteers are expected to answer private landowner’s questions in a timely and unbiased manner providing current technical information. They are required to report their contacts to the volunteer coordinator.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum age to participate 18 years, preferably a high school diploma or small acreage experience is desired but not required. A phone interview and a background check are required.
Volunteers must attend 24 hours of training.
