Program Summary:
Volunteers manage the World War I era Victory Garden (heirloom) at the Agricultural Heritage Center at the Lohr/McIntosh Farm.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on a team of volunteers to plan, plant, weed, water, and harvest the garden.
- Occasionally speak to visitors if volunteering during public visitation hours.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be at least 14 years old (volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent/guardian during training and volunteer shifts).
- Gardening experience.
- Ability to work on a team and independently at different times of the year.
- Knowledge or interest in agriculture, historic preservation, and/or local history.
- Computer and internet required for scheduling and to record volunteer hours.
- Must have personal transportation.
- Pass background check.
Training Dates and Information:
- Attend new volunteer training and orientation.
- Minimum commitment of two 1 hour shifts per month (early May – early Nov.).
