The Public Works Department’s Engineering Division is working on a framework for reviewing traffic calming requests from residents who live in unincorporated Boulder County. The traffic calming framework seeks to establish a process for addressing speeding concerns using traffic calming installations on county roads, such as speed humps.
The framework is being developed in alignment with Boulder County’s Vision Zero Action Plan, which seeks to eliminate crashes that result in serious injuries or fatalities. This project is currently in development with an anticipated completion in late 2026 or early 2027.
