DRCOG Subregional Transportation Improvement Program

Boulder County Subregional Forum

Boulder County Subregional Forum

The Boulder County Subregional Forum is a subdivision of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) and includes representation from Boulder County and all DRCOG-member municipalities within Boulder County. CDOT and RTD are invited to participate as non-voting members of each Forum. Subregional Forums provide a venue for collaboration within county geographies and provide direction to DRCOG on the distribution of subregional Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) funding.

Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG)

DRCOG is the Denver region’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), an organization that provides a venue for local governments to collaborate and to establish guidelines, set policy and allocate funding in the areas of:

  • Transportation and Personal Mobility
  • Growth and Development
  • Aging and Disability Resources

DRCOG distributes federal transportation funding through a TIP, which identifies all current federally funded transportation projects to be completed in the Denver region over a four-year period. The local governments that comprise DRCOG decide on a process and criteria for including projects in the TIP and awarding DRCOG-controlled federal funds, which allows the region to set and agree upon its transportation priorities.

Contact: For questions about any of the Transportation Improvement projects, contact Kellsie Forfar-Jones, DROCOG public engagement planner, at kforfar-jones@drcog.org, or 303-480-5658.
