Work Description:

The purpose of the Community Service Assistant is to help Greenwood with it’s non-animal care needs. This usually means doing laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping, and taking out garbage/recycling. Community service assistants will sometimes be asked to help with other projects such as cleaning out empty cages and aviaries, yard and facilities work and occasionally running errands.
Greenwood’s duties are physical and you must be willing and able to complete the tasks assigned
Under no circumstances should a CS assistant be in contact with a wildlife patient, be in a cage or aviary that contains patients, or interact with the animals (no talking to them, gesturing, petting, or any sort of handling). Greenwood’s mission is to rehabilitate wildlife so they can be released back into the wild. When doing work in the vicinity of caging, please keep your voice low and minimize the amount of noise.

Restrictions: Physical work, must be over 18 yrs old. NO animal cruelty, assault/harassment, felony, theft, fraud or sex offenses.
