Health inspections are required for all Boulder County licensed child care facilities. We strive to make the inspections less regulatory and more educational. Inspections are based on the criteria found in our Health Inspection Form.
What to Expect at a Health Inspection
A health inspection can take an average of 2 to 5 hours on-site, depending on the type of program, the age of the children, the number of childcare rooms, whether diapering is done, and the extent of the food service provided. Inspections may also require follow-up visits and on-site training.
The fee for programs providing more extensive care is higher due to the time it takes to complete the health inspection.
