Trans* Inclusiveness for Health and Mental Health Providers
Trans* is an umbrella term referring to the spectrum of gender identity and expression. The use of * allows an individual to fill in their own concept of gender so no one is excluded.
Boulder County Public Health is working to increase awareness of LGBTIQ health issues and cultural responsiveness of health and mental health providers. These resources can help service providers ensure that services and office environments are inclusive and affirming of transgender and gender non-conforming patients and clients.
