Family & Children Services

En Español

All children deserve to grow up in a safe, loving, and permanent family, and all families deserve our support.

Financial, health, and cultural stressors are closely linked with child abuse and neglect. One of the most important jobs we have is to help alleviate those stresses for families as we’re working to keep children safe.

We offer struggling families many services that help prevent child abuse and neglect, reducing the need for foster care and bringing more stability to them and to our communities.

We focus on strengthening families so children can thrive.

  • Child Welfare: Wherever possible, we surround families with the supports and resources they need to develop their own plans for stabilization and safety. Our Family & Children Services Division offers many services that are aimed at helping both children and families thrive in our community.
  • Child Support Services works collaboratively with parents (both custodial and non-custodial) and guardians to help make sure children have money and medical supports from both parents.
