Child Welfare

We believe every child should grow up in a safe, loving, and stable home.

We also believe every family deserves support.

Our Family and Children Services division provides services that help families stay strong and connected. We work with parents, caregivers, and community members to make sure children are safe and cared for.

Reporting Child Abuse or Neglect

We all have a role in helping to prevent child abuse and neglect. If you are worried about a child’s safety or well-being, please speak up.

You can call the Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline at any time by dialing 1-844-CO-4-KIDS (1-844-264-5437).

  • Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • All calls are confidential

  • Your call will go to the county where the child lives

In Boulder County, you can also call our local screening line at 303-441-1309. This number is linked with the state hotline and reaches our team directly.

If you see a child in danger or it’s an emergency, call 911.
